Caregivers Ministry
Our new Caregivers Ministry addresses the needs of those caring for aging parents, spouses, or other family members. Our support group meets the last Wednesday of each month to share conversation and resources. We are also planning series of workshops on caregiving for the wider congregation and community. Helping Hands
A ministry to match those in our congregation who need help with tasks such as yard work, small home repairs, babysitting, and transportation with members of the congregation who would like to help. Contact: Rev. Nancy Lynn, nancy@fumc-a2.org or 734-662-4536.
J.O.Y. Luncheon
Each year, we hold a series of luncheons for our Just Older Youth (meaning anyone in the congregation who is over age 65). Lunch is a homemade meal followed by a short program. We invite you to join us for fun, food, and fellowship, or help prepare and plan these events for the JOY community. Contact: Tina Alee, tina@fumc-a2.org or 734-662-4536 ext. 10.
Partakers
We gather weekly to pray for those with illness or grief. Meets Thursdays 9:30 AM at various locations. Contact: Phyllis Dillon, 663-6351.
Prayer Ministry Team
The Prayer Ministry Team looks at the prayer life of our church and fosters programs to expand and enrich it. Events sponsored include monthly meditation time, labyrinth walks, and special retreat opportunities.
First Saturday Prayer & Meditation - Monthly reflection and prayer group includes active walking and sharing as well as silent, centering prayer allowing our bodies and minds to rest so we can better hear God’s voice. All are invited to join us on the first Saturday of every month at Green Wood from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Contact: Dee Chapell, deechapell@aol.com.

Uncommon Threads
A group of knitters and quilters make prayer shawls and prayer quilts for those who need comforting. Meets 1st & 3rd Mondays 1:00 PM at Green Wood. Contact: Sandy Hultquist, slhultquist@comcast.net or 734-663-8890.
Visitation Team
Our purpose is to provide a connection with the church to our members who can no longer attend church. Many of our members are very lonely with family out of town or no longer have family. The members of our team make contact by phone, by visiting, and by sending cards on special occasions. This is done on a monthly basis and it is a very meaningful way to serve our Lord. Welcome Team
Focusing on helping people connect at church, this team meets monthly to discuss projects that will encourage a welcoming culture in our congregation. Contact: Elaine Shaw, elaine.shaw@pfizer.com.
Hospitality ministries provide opportunities for welcoming and fellowship for everyone who enters our church space.
Wesley Care
An email group that helps address needs and desires of Wesley (college) students. We bake cookies to share with all students to welcome them in September and coordinate care packages for exam times. Contact: Karla Paterson, karlapaterson@gmail.com.
