Our faith and commitment
Following in the steps of John Wesley, we believe that God's love is active in the world, and that we are called to ally ourselves with this love in service to God and others, creating justice, liberation, and peace wherever they are absent. In prayer and humility we strive to understand God's will for creation and to take action whenever the values taught by our Savior Jesus Christ are violated, no matter how controversial and complex the issue. And we are guided by the wisdom of the church as we think and act in this world into which we were born and are inescapably a part, ever vulnerable to its contagions but steadfastly accepting our stewardship of its destiny.
