What's happening at First United Methodist Church?
Our downtown Sanctuary multimedia project begins in August. A detailed plan presentation is available for review online: Part 1 and Part 2.
We now observe summer worship downtown, with one Sunday service only at 9:30 a.m. Afterwards we have our summer fellowship time, called Lemonade on the Lawn. If you have volunteered to host Lemonade on the Lawn, thank you! (Here are instructions for hosting.)
Did you miss the church forum on April 19? Read an attendee's notes to find out what was discussed and suggested.
Find out more about inclusiveness at FUMC.
Traffic alert downtown... Due to construction, both northbound lanes on State Street between Washington and Huron have been closed to vehicle traffic. View the map for more information. Northbound State Street lanes are anticipated to be reopened in spring 2010.

Daughters All Celebration!
All daughters (meaning all females) are invited to the fourth annual Daughters All Celebration on Friday, July 25, 7 pm at Green Wood.
We will have the usual fun with singing, dancing, storytelling, and sharing while enjoying a scrumptious dessert bar.
This year the focus will again be on Africa as we give wings to the prayers of millions of African children and families by helping to provide airplanes and pilots to fly doctors and medicine to those who can only be reached by air. This is an UMCOR sponsored mission.
So come and spend a fun evening out with daughters while “giving wings to their prayers.”
