2018 Flygirlz Adventure: Hocking Hills, Ohio
August 19-21, 2018
All women of the church are invited to join our tenth annual “Flygirlz” adventure on August 19-21, 2018. These annual trips allow us to make new friends and reconnect with old friends, participate in a physical adventure that exposes us to a new skill and pushes us just beyond our comfort zone, and prepares us for working together as women of the church in the upcoming year. Our former trips have included:
2009–Fly fishing at the Homestead
2010–Biking and Wine Tasting in Traverse City
2011–Ranch Rudolf; horseback riding, fishing, and tubing in Traverse City
2012–Navigation Expedition with Orienteering and Geocaching in Indianapolis
2013–Niagara on the Lake Theatre with biking to the wineries
2014–Camping and hiking at Rattlesnake Park, part of the Niagara Escarpment
near Milton, Ontario
2015–Foodie Agritour in Saugatuck
2016–Biking in Cuyahoga National Park in Ohio
2017–Biking and exploring Empire, Michigan, and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore
Applications are now available for our August 2018 trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio.
Activity options for a Zip Line Canopy Tour or Segway instruction and tour, and an afternoon hike at Old Man’s Cave are available.
The Flygirlz will be staying at the Mesa Vista Lodge. Here is the website: http://www.mesavista-lodge.com/
Our Hocking Hills adventure this year will cost approximately $200 for all lodging and Fri/Sat dinners and Sat/Sun breakfasts. Lunches on Saturday and Sunday are not included. Saturday morning outdoor adventures are extra (zipline: +$100; segway: +$70).
If we have more than 25 women requesting spots we will start a waiting list. Final payments will be due after the trip after all the accounting has taken place.
Step 1: Register using this google form.
Step 2: Pay non-refundable $150 deposit (due with registration), either by PayPal (you must have a PayPal account), OR by sending a check for $150 made out to “Flygirlz” to:

Step 3: Kim will confirm your registration and send you the link to the Sign Up Genius form so you may select the job you want for the trip. As in past years, all participants will get involved in planning and facilitating the trip. We will hold a “pre-trip” meeting in early August to organize final details and begin the fun together.
If you need to cancel, you can transfer your spot to someone else, including those who may be on the waiting list, but we are not able to refund your deposit.
