Conversations About Science and Religion: Environmental Justice
Dec. 12 at 9-10:15 a.m. in person in Calkins Hall or on Zoom
Join us for this discussion led by James Pauer, PhD, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development. Environmental Justice is the right of all people regardless of race, color, national origin or income to have equal environmental protection under the law, and the right to live, work and play in communities that are safe, healthy and free of life-threatening conditions. We will focus on the U.S. and discuss what environmental justice is, including some examples from Michigan; and what all of us can do going forward to ensure that everyone has the right to a clean environment.
