“Neuroprostheses for Controlling Hand and Finger Movements”

Join a conversation with Cynthia A. Chestek, Ph.D. as she discusses her research on brain machine interfaces and how she uses this technology to allow control of fingers in prosthetic hands to give people much greater control of these critical aids. Dr. Chestek is associate professor of Biomedical Engineering and Robotics at the University of Michigan and leads the Cortical Neural Prosthetics Lab.

We will meet simultaneously in-person (Calkins Hall, 2nd floor of the downtown church) and via Zoom. Join the Zoom meeting here.
