Trauma, Race and Our Hearts and Bodies: My Grandmother’s Hands
Sunday, Nov. 7, 9-10:15 a.m. in Calkins Hall and on Zoom
Have you ever considered that only a fraction of white supremacy exists in the mind? In the book My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies, Resmaa Menakem tells us that racial trauma lies primarily in our bodies. Sunday sessions will be led by Elaine Shaw and Rev. Shonagh Taruza, and Thursday sessions will be led by Lisa Hesse. You are welcome to attend any or all sessions.
