Our church has been asked to fill Christmas wishes for gifts for low-income children at the Hikone and Brick Community Centers run by Ann Arbor Community Network and for a family at Alpha House family homeless shelter. Younger kids are asking for toys or clothing, while older kids are requesting gift cards. The list of gifts needed by the kids this Christmas is included on FUMC’s online Giving Tree. All gifts are due back to the church no later than Sunday, Dec. 11.

We also are providing $25 Meijer gift cards to help families buy food for a Holiday dinner. All gift cards purchased through the Giving Tree will also support FUMC’s own youth programs through the Youth Scrip program. In addition, gifts of money are very much needed to help fill any remaining gift requests. These are our neighbors’ children, please don’t let them be forgotten this Christmas!

Visit the Giving Tree to choose a gift, purchase a gift card or make a monetary donation. Checks may also be mailed to the church, made out to FUMC with “Giving Tree” noted on the memo line.
