We have a chance to share some warmth! In January our neighbors across the parking lot at First Baptist will be opening their building to serve as a daytime warming shelter for unhoused people with no indoor place to stay during the day. The First Baptist staff asked if our congregation could help by providing a simple lunch for 50-75 people on each Monday (or other day) during January. This outreach is just beginning, so how to accomplish the tasks remains to be worked out. For now we need to contact volunteers who would like to safely team up, Covid style, with others to bring some heat to someone’s January day. We especially need folks who can coordinate the kitchen volunteers. Contact Josh Warn for more information at 734 389-6573 or joshwarn@mac.com.
