Jesus tells us to hate our families and to act as if we are slaves – and many other hard teachings. In The Difficult Words of Jesus, Amy-Jill Levine shows how these difficult teachings would have sounded to the people who first heard them, how they have been understood over time, and how we might interpret them in the context of the Gospel of love and reconciliation.

We are pleased to have Jim Mangi, founder of a consulting group: Dementia Friendly Saline, return to us and speak about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. He will focus on how family members and friends of persons with dementia can provide care that focuses on daily living and how to optimize quality of life.,

Billy Keener will lead us in a discussion on how disability is portrayed in film. Join us as we will watch some film clips followed by discussion.
