Lenten Devotionals

Walk through the 40 days of Lent with our Lenten devotional. Daily passages were written by congregation members. These will be available for pickup at worship the weekends of Feb. 18 & Feb. 25. Lenten Vespers and Justice Talks

March 2, 9, 23 & 30, 6:30-8 p.m. | Downtown & on Zoom

Join us for Lenten Vespers and Justice Talks on Thursday evenings in March. This event will be a combination of worship with a video panel discussion
or artist talk from an artist participating in the Lenten art installation, Spirit of Justice.

Please note there will be no Lenten Vespers and Justice Talk on March 16. Join us instead for the American premiere of “The Atonement,” a passion by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, conducted by Bryan Ijames on Thursday March 16 at 8 p.m., Hill Auditorium. FUMC Chancel Choir joins the chorus for this presentation.

 

Spirit of Justice Art Installation

April 2-9 | Downtown

Using selected scripture, participants will be creating pieces of art to reflect the theme of justice and love as they see it in our church and the world. Come view their creations in this art installation downtown, April 2-9.

 

Maundy Thursday Service

Join us downtown for a service of Tenebrae readings and music that recount the events from the arrest of Jesus through his sentencing to death.

 

Good Friday Services

Join us for a community worship service at our downtown church starting at noon.

Join us for a 30 minute service of music and prayers to remember the events of Good Friday in worship.
