Saying goodbye to our Green Wood location
On March 29, 2025 we had a wonderful worship service and celebration before closing our Green Wood location. More than 90 people came for the service including some who hadn’t been there for more than 15 years!
Giving Gratitude
Katie Geddes and her group provided music for the service, and Pastor Nancy shared the history of Glacier Way UMC and Green Wood. During the time of prayer, many people expressed gratitude for the ministry which has happened there.
Sharing memories
After the service, everyone enjoyed conversation and laughter as they ate dinner together. A highlight of the evening came when Rev. Doug Paterson, former senior pastor, and his wife, Karla, shared memories and stories from their time with the Green Wood community. The evening ended with everyone standing in a circle, holding hands, and singing “Sanctuary.”
