Sharing what we have with others is a demonstration of faith.

Giving is about trusting God, and trusting God is a journey. FUMC-Ann Arbor is a vital, welcoming community where you can grow your faith. Our community is generous with its time, talents, and money. No matter the size, every contribution makes a difference and helps provide ongoing ministry and mission, enabling us to grow our church’s outreach and impact. We are grateful for all that God has provided to each of us, and we appreciate your willingness to support the good works of FUMC Ann Arbor.

2022 End of Year Giving

As in past years, it is important that we receive your generous gifts in a timely manner to support our operating expenses.

Electronic giving:  Contributions made via the church website can take up to four days to reach our bank account and could take longer given the bank holiday on Dec. 26.  Please initiate your online gift by Dec. 23 if possible, to insure that we receive it by the end of the year.

Giving by check: In accordance with IRS regulations, end-of-year contributions must be in the business office or postmarked by Saturday, Dec. 31, to be counted as a 2022 tax year contribution. The church office will be open on Friday, Dec. 30 until 4:30 p.m. to receive checks.

Why We Give

“There are so many needs in the world…food insecurity, racial inequality, lack of shelter, human rights violations. How do we decide who needs our contribution the most? FUMC allows us to give to a trusted institution, an organization which addresses all those needs and more. It’s like one-stop shopping for the soul.”

– Nancy Quay and Sherry Marcy

“I give because I love my church home which includes our wonderful community – all those connected to our ministries – clergy, staff and the beautiful buildings. I want to contribute to the goodness and love fostered here. It’s as simple as that.”

– Elaine Shaw

“The reason we give is that FUMC is a strong force for good in our community. We enjoy the community we feel being a part of the church and the opportunity to share God’s love in our community with anyone in need.”

– Jeff Mortimer
