Alternative Transport Weekend
Reducing car traffic
During the last weekend of May, members of our congregation took part in FUMC’s Alternative Transport Weekend, an initiative organized by the Creation Care group to reduce car traffic and explore more sustainable ways of traveling to church.
Walk, bike & bus
Participants were encouraged to walk, bike, take the bus or carpool to worship services. The goal was to reduce vehicle traffic by at least 20 percent while considering transportation alternatives that can benefit both the environment and our budgets.
Building community
The weekend offered an opportunity to build community and reduce our environmental impact. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make Alternative Transport Weekend a success!
