Behind the Scenes Tour

Pulling back the curtain

In March, FUMC hosted the first “Behind the Scenes” tour. During these tours the curtain is pulled back to showcase what many members have wondered about but have not been able to explore on their own.

Touring the organ

During this tour, Dr. Paul Haebig, FUMC’s Organist, showed more than 30 participants around the organ and its various components. Participants learned that an important feature of an organist’s shoes are the high heels, and also that the organ has 2877 total pipes!

Future tours

These tours take place on the third Sundays of the month immediately after the 10 a.m. worship service. In the future, tours may include the boiler-room, stained-glass windows, Wesley Foundation or First United Methodist Cooperative Nursery (FUMCN).
