Family Camp 2025
An annual tradition
In May 2025, FUMC families came together for the third consecutive year at Family Camp, held at YMCA Camp Algonquin in Hastings, Michigan. A total of 39 participants attended, ranging from nursery-aged children and elementary students to youth, parents, and even a grandparent.
Adventures & campfires
Highlights from the weekend included the high ropes adventure course, axe throwing, archery, the giant swing, kayaking, crafting, ziplining and rock wall climbing. And of course, the weekend wouldn’t be complete without campfire time with s’mores and popcorn!
Worshiping together
The weekend concluded with a worship service led by Rachel McCollum, Co-Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries. It offered participants a meaningful time together as a group to reflect on finding God in the quiet of nature, joy of family and friends, and the fun of adventure.
