FUMCN Year-End Celebrations
New & old traditions
Another amazing year at First United Methodist Cooperative Nursery (FUMCN) is coming to a close, marked by both new experiences and beloved traditions.
Generosity & support
In May, FUMCN hosted its first bake sale, and it was a tremendous success. Thanks to the generosity and support of the FUMC community, the table of homemade treats sold out, helping the preschool reach its Tuition Assistance Fund fundraising goal for the year. FUMCN plans to make the bake sale an annual tradition.
End-of-year tradition
FUMCN also celebrated its annual Book Walk on the Wesley Lawn, a cherished end-of-year tradition that brings together current preschool families, children from the twos program, and alumni. This year’s featured book was Lola Plants a Garden by Anna McQuinn. Children traveled through ten stations, reading portions of the story and completing related crafts along the way. The event also included pizza, Kona Ice, and a copy of the book for each family to take home.
