Volunteering time & raising money
Each summer, FUMC joins forces with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley through the Good News Group to help families achieve the dream of homeownership. In the summer of 2025, the team not only volunteered their time but also raised $10,000 for construction materials and down payment assistance.
Managing a range of tasks
FUMC volunteers contributed their skills to four different homes, tackling a wide range of tasks—from demolition and framing to constructing outdoor storage sheds and completing final paint and trim work. In addition to many returning volunteers, the team welcomed 16 first-time participants.
