St. Andrew’s Breakfast serves more than 100 hot meals every morning to anyone in need. Over 100 volunteers from the community make sure guests are respectfully served in a safe, comfortable space.
Hope Clinic is a haven of help and healing, with free medical care, dental care, food, and behavioral health care for people without insurance. 1,600+ volunteers help provide a seamless, whole-person health care experience for their clients.
Staying in Closer Touch links incarcerated parents with their children through reading and other family literary practices, with the goal of nurturing closer parent-child relationships and fostering a love of books and literacy. Their children receive new books and can listen to the recording of their parents reading them.
House by the Side of the Road provides free clothing, bedding, and household essentials to Washtenaw County residents who have experienced homelessness, home fires, re-entry to society after incarceration, job loss, illness or any other issue which limited their funds for life essentials. Their shoppers have the dignity of choosing what they need and can return several times per year.
Immigration Law and Justice Michigan helps low-income immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers understand their choices and navigate the complexities and barriers of the U.S. immigration legal system. Most clients have temporary visas or pending court dates, though undocumented immigrants have benefited from truthful guidance that
helps them avoid being traumatized by scam.
