Pentecost is the day of the year that celebrates the Holy Spirit’s move to the forefront of leading and guiding Christians, a sort of entry point to the Trinity. From this beginning, though, is the awareness that people are diverse — we have different languages, different cultures, different ideas that God makes holy. On this “birthday of the Church,” let’s talk about how it is that we, too, can celebrate difference while finding the things that bind us together.
