On March 18, 2026, we joined nearly 300 fellow United Methodists at the Michigan State Capitol for Advocacy Day, coming together to speak out on an issue that impacts communities across our state.
Active Shooter Training
On Feb. 19, 2026, 30 leaders from the church came together alongside two Michigan State Police officers for an important and proactive conversation: how to best protect our congregation in the unlikely event of an active shooter situation.

On Feb. 7 Youth Ministry hosted its annual Souper Euchre Bowl!
Gathered in Hope: Advent Tea
For the first time since its beginning in 2014, FUMC hosted its 2025 annual Advent Tea downtown. While the setting was new, the contagious spirit of a caring, thoughtful community was the same.

On Jan. 18, the Youth Group put their creativity to work by making cat toys for the Huron Valley Humane Society. This project highlighted how our gifts can be used in service to others, including our furry neighbors.
